Northern Virginia Green Tea
Green Hills Garden and Nursery has been successful in growing green tea in Lovettsville, Northern Virginia, for about ten years using our own method of growing them from seeds. For the last three years we have been processing tea which you may purchase on this site or at Dominion Tea Company in Purcellville and Elden Street Tea Shop in Reston.
Green tea plants normally grow in semi-tropical climates, however, we have achieved success in growing green tea plants in the Northern Virginia climate with the assistance of a USDA Specialty Crop Grant and the advice of Korean tea master, Mr. Hong, and his disciple, Sung Yoo. Now we have mainly 5 – 7 year old green tea plants in our green tea plantation in Lovettsville, Virginia.
Our hope is that you will enjoy the quality of our locally grown green tea and taste the wonderful flavor that is superior to store-bought tea bags.

Our tea is now available for purchase:

Our seeds are also available for purchase:
